FrogFest!

The Willimantic frogs are leaping - right off the famous frog bridge and into downtown. From August through October 2005, downtown Willimantic will host a public art event showcasing 15 individually designed, painted and decorated fiberglass frogs - reduced replicas of the frogs that adorn Willimantic's famous frog bridge. The frogs will be transformed by artists and installed in the downtown Willimantic area to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Willimantic Frog tale. After this three month long public exhibition, partnered by the Windham Area Arts Collaborative and the Windham Region United Way, the frogs will be sold at a live auction October 29, 2005 to benefit the Windham community.
